What Causes Photodamage?

Photodamage occurs when the skin is overexposed to the sun’s harmful rays. If you spend a lot of time hiking or sunbathing on the beach, you may eventually notice the appearance of pigmentation on your face and shoulders. If this is the case, laser treatment may be the best option to clear your skin.

What Are the Treatment Options?

The Xeo® laser features several attachments, such as the laser LimeLight, that can serve as effective options for addressing photodamage. These devices are non-invasive and don’t require extended periods of downtime after treatment. The right handpiece for you will be determined after your condition is evaluated. In some cases, several sessions may be needed to give you the results you want.

What to Expect?

During your treatment session, the chosen handpiece will be applied to your skin. As the device goes to work, you may experience a warm sensation and a feeling similar to a rubber band snapping against your skin. These sensations are generally well-tolerated by patients. We will determine an optimal treatment schedule when you arrive for your first consultation at our office.
